OnSiteQuote offers separate iOS and Android apps. Both are local-first: estimates, client details, catalog entries and company settings are stored on your device. Information leaves the device only when you use an optional online feature described below. Some operating-system services used for voice recognition may process audio under that service provider's privacy terms.
Data stored on your device
- Estimates, line items, client contact details, signatures and PDF settings.
- Company profile, logo, catalog, default tax rate and terms.
- Monthly usage counters for the Free plan (estimates, voice uses and receipt scans).
- On iOS, a random device identifier used to manage Lifetime device slots.
Optional iCloud sync on iOS
If you purchase Cloud Sync on iOS, estimates, catalog items and company profile data are uploaded to your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) under your Apple ID so they can reach your other Apple devices. iOS data does not sync with Android.
Optional Google Cloud Sync on Android
Android estimates work without an account. If you enable the separate Cloud Sync plan and link a Google account, Firebase Authentication processes the Google account email and Firebase user ID. Firestore stores that account's estimates (including client names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, line items, tax and discount settings, and signatures), catalog items, and company profile fields such as company name, phone, email, address, license/tax ID, logo, terms, default tax rate, currency and measurement units so they can sync between Android devices. Cloud Sync is opt-in and Android data does not sync with iOS or iCloud.
Google Firebase processes this information to provide authentication and cloud storage. Firebase Authentication may also process technical information such as IP address and user-agent data for security and service operation. Cloud-synced data is associated with your Firebase user ID and protected by account-scoped database rules; it is not end-to-end encrypted. TQC Software does not sell this data or use it for advertising.
On-device and speech processing
- iOS receipt OCR uses Apple Vision on-device; receipt images are not uploaded by OnSiteQuote.
- Android receipt OCR uses the Google Play services ML Kit model, which is downloaded to the device. Receipt images are processed on-device and are not uploaded by OnSiteQuote.
- iOS AR measurement and RoomPlan run on-device using ARKit and RoomPlan.
- Android ARCore measurement processes camera frames on-device. Measurements you save become estimate data and sync only if you enable Cloud Sync.
- iOS voice input uses Apple Speech Recognition. On devices without on-device recognition, audio may be processed by Apple's speech servers under Apple's privacy terms.
- Android voice input uses Android's speech recognition service. Depending on the selected recognition provider and device settings, audio may be processed by that provider. OnSiteQuote uses the recognized text to create estimate drafts; the resulting estimate text is stored locally and syncs only if you enable Cloud Sync.
Purchases and service providers
On iOS, Apple processes in-app purchases. On Android, Google Play processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat is used on both platforms to verify entitlements and receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase/receipt information, not payment-card details. Apple and Google Play handle payment credentials under their own privacy terms.
OnSiteQuote does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not use cross-app advertising tracking. Google Firebase and Google Play services may process technical data needed to provide their services.
Permissions
- Camera — receipt capture and AR measurement.
- Microphone and speech recognition — voice-to-estimate input.
- Photos — selecting receipts and a company logo.
- Contacts — optional client import into estimates.
Deleting your data and account
- Deleting an individual estimate or catalog item removes it locally and queues its cloud deletion. A short-lived sync marker can remain for up to 30 days so other linked devices apply the deletion.
- iOS: Settings → Data → Erase All Data deletes estimates, catalog, usage history and company settings locally and from iCloud.
- Android: Settings → Data → Erase All Data removes local app data. Use Delete Cloud Account to re-authenticate the linked Google account, then delete the Firebase account and its synced data as well.
- If you cannot access Android, use the OnSiteQuote account deletion page to request deletion of the Firebase account and associated cloud data.
- Deleting an app from your device removes local data but does not by itself delete iCloud or Firebase cloud data.
- Deleting an OnSiteQuote account does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions; manage those separately in the relevant store.
Children
OnSiteQuote is a business tool intended for adult users and is not directed to children under 13.
